Plastic Highway Barriers

An economical alternative to concrete highway barriers, plastic Jersey traffic barriers provide sturdiness, security, high visibility, and optimum portability.  Each plastic road barricade can be carried into position by two people – trucks or forklifts are not needed.

Plastic Jersey highway barriers are available in 11 models (see below for size/weight comparisons), but each of these highway barriers shares the same quality characteristics:

• Jersey traffic barriers are made of recyclable, low-density polyethylene, enhanced by an ultraviolet light inhibitor which provides extra protection in outside weather conditions.
• Manufactured to a uniform thickness of 8 millimeters, each plastic highway barrier features two sloping surfaces (the upper surface is sloped vertically, while the lower surface is sloped approximately 25 degrees from vertical).
• All plastic road barricades feature a 6-inch protrusion on one end, and a 6-inch intrusion on the other end to enable positive connections.
• Jersey traffic barriers feature a 6-inch fill hole at the top for adding water or sand, and a 2-inch drain hole at the bottom.  Two 6-inch forklift slots are also part of each barrier.
